This is a CG recreation of what Hiroshima looked like before it was destroyed by an atomic bomb. The nuclear weapon "Little Boy" was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.
The creator of this CG project is living near the ground zero.
According to Japanprobe, he said in his phone interview, it is important to teach younger people that nuclear weapons are horrible. By creating a representation of what was lost in the bombing, he hopes to remind people that such a thing should never be repeated.
Many of us surely agree with his statement. The radiation effects of the bombing still hunts the survivors.
