Massive sinkhole in Guatemala

A terrifying shocking sinkhole was formed due to the torrential rains from the tropical Storm Agatha.

The sinkhole appeared in a street intersection of Ciudad de Guatemala in which it created a 60 m deep/ 30-m diameter opening, reportedly swallowing a three-story building. Victims in this incident is still under investigation.

Tropical Storm Agatha left a death toll of more than 175 people across Central America.

Three people had already lost their lives with the opening of a sinkhole in the same area back in 2007.

MIT student Charles Guan created a running shopping cart mobile called as "LOLriokart". Powered by nickel-cadmium batteries, he invested $300 and took one year to build this one.

According to Guan’s math, given its weight and motor power, the cart could have gone 45 mph. That seemed a little risky, though, so he switched in a smaller motor sprocket, which cuts the rate at which the chain turns the rear axle. It looks like an Alien rather than an underwater suit. This is a deep-sea diving suit circa 1882, designed by Alphonse and Théodore Carmagnolle and it is being shown at the National Marine Museum in Paris.

Looks very heavy and it seems only a strong and totally fit individual can carry this suit.

World record "card-stacker" holder Bryan Berg was tapped to do a guest house for Holiday Inn NYC using hotel key cards.

Using 200,000 plastic slips, Berg has built a guest house consisting of lobby, bedroom, bathroom and life-sized furniture. To add more details, he also include toilet paper key cards.

Every time I see a Rubber Duck, it always reminds me of Sesame Street's funny duo Bert and Ernie with their "Rubber Ducky".

Here's a huge-gigantic rubber duck by artist Florentijn Hofman. It is 12 x 14 x 16 meters rubber duck to be set in different locations in the world. The photos shows that the duck is in the harbor of Hasselt, Belgium.

According to Florentijn Hofman's site: "The Rubber Duck knows no frontiers, it doesn't discriminate people and doesn't have a political connotation. The friendly, floating Rubber Duck has healing properties: it can relieve mondial tensions as well as define them. The rubber duck is soft, friendly and suitable for all ages!"

NASA and ATK Test First Stage Motor for Ares

Here's a test firing by NASA and ATK Space Systems for the first motor for the Ares I rocket (Sept. 10). It generates an incredible 3.6-million pounds of thrust. A second test will be conducted next year.
